~Chapter 1~
“Don’t worry Cali,” My dad told me as he hopped into the driver’s seat of our minivan. “You are going to love Monroeville! The people there are so nice, and friendly.”
I sighed. We were leaving sunny, beautiful California, and we were moving to dull, rainy Monroeville. What kind of name is Monroeville anyway? In Monroeville it rained almost every day, and you could never see the sun there. Monroeville is a hundred times different from California.
A tear rolled down my cheek as we drove away from our house, and Megan’s house. Megan is my best friend, and I was devastated I had to leave her. She was in the window of her house, waving and crying. I had to look away so I wouldn’t break down…again.
Out of all the people in the world, I was most surprised my mother had agreed to moving. She absolutely hated the rain. That’s why she lived in California her whole life. Monroeville would be her own personal hell. My dad on the other hand could care less about the rain. I swear I was not related to him.
“I guess we will just have to learn to love the rain,” My mother said from the passenger seat, as if she was reading my mind.
“Better say goodbye to the sun now.”
My parents started talking about Monroeville, but I didn’t want to hear it. I grabbed my Ipod out of my purse, and put on the headphones. I blared Fall Out Boy, so I couldn’t hear anything. This was going to be a very long, boring trip.

I was standing in the middle of the forest, in pouring rain. The rain stung my face, and dampened my clothes. Besides the rain, it was totally silent. Almost an eerie silence. The ground was squishy from the rain, and it felt weird to step on.
I gazed across the trees and shrubs, and found a dark silhouette standing in an opening in the trees. I gasped, startled. The black figure was standing motionless, arms at his sides. I couldn’t make out anything from this distance.
“H-hello?” I called out to the person. It didn’t budge. From where I was standing it looked like a tall, scrawny man. I took a couple steps closer.
“Is anyone there?” I called louder this time. No response. Now I was getting frustrated. I started walking faster, until I was running towards the man. I ran into the opening, and skidded to a stop.
It looked like a man, but it wasn’t. It was just a black figure, shaped like a man. The only thing that was on him, was a set of red glowing eyes. They were staring straight at me. I screamed as loud as I could. The thing didn’t blink, it just kept staring at me.
“Cali”
I started running back into the forest, but the figure appeared in front of me, stopping me in my tracks. It seemed to literally come out of nowhere. His eyes bore into mine, and I found myself becoming dizzy.
“Cali”
I tried to run, but my legs wouldn’t work. It was just like a nightmare. You have to run, but you can’t. You try and try, but it gets you nowhere. The figure seemed to move closer, and I started to sway.
“Cali”
Lips started to form on the demon thing. He smirked, and then revealed a perfect set of teeth…and two pointy fangs dripping in blood. I screamed even louder this time.

Chapter two: Numb Thoughts
As I sat in the classroom I was really starting to worry. He saw me. I know he did. What is he going to do? Is he going to come after me? I saw him...bite her. Poor Yin Mar. He must be a vampire. But he saw me too. I know he did. He even winked at me for gods sake. You cant tell me that he didnt see me watching them. I wasnt paying any attention to the class, but I did notice when the door clicked open. I looked up on instinct and saw Wind standing in the doorway.
Excuse me, he directed his comment to the teacher whos name I didnt even know because

After he said that, he touched his forehead to mine so that our noses touched. Then he moved in closer to me and tightened his arms around me so that he had one hand on each of my hips. He began listing more things that he liked about me. Even though I know that I scared you sometimes, you never let it get to you. You never let it show. That makes you one of the strongest girls that I know. But other than that, youre like a magnet, and Im a metal paper clip. You draw me towards you, and I cant really say how or why. I took my arms which had been at my side and put th

Chapter one: A Horrific Assault
At the time I was an 18 year old student. Just a normal girl in a normal school. It was the beginning of a new year. My first year of college. I was a freshman in college then. I was so excited. Normally, I got good grades without even trying very hard so I was expecting good things from the year. Soon enough, though, that would change. All I wanted now, was to just get through my schooling without...changing, to put it simply.
As I sat in the classroom waiting I heard the door open and a man begin to speak.
Is anyone in here? he called out into the darkness of the room. I hadn
