Ice Bound 18

      He screamed in pain. His blood started rushing down my throat, healing the burning sensation. This was the best thing I have ever tasted. I knew deep down this was wrong, but it tasted so good. I tried to stop, but I couldn't.
      The man screamed, and struggled in my grasp. It was useless. I kept drinking, and drinking. Eventually the man stopped screaming, and struggling. He fell limp in my arms. I could taste his blood thinning, and knew there was barely any left.
      When the blood was fully drained from him, I pulled back, and caressed the bite. Making sure all the blood was cleared. Then I realized what I had just done. I killed him. No, no, no. How could I do this?
     I looked at the now life-less man, and wanted to cry. He was as white as me, and his eyes were rolled back inside his head. His mouth was slightly opened, and his lips were purple.
     What was I supposed to do now? I couldn't leave him here. I jumped back on the ledge, with the man cradled in my arms. He felt like a feather now. I started running as fast as I could. I finally made it back to the meadow, and froze.
      I could hear the wind rustling, and feet hitting the Earth in quick, swift movements.  I was amazed that I could hear this well. I growled, and crouched down, awaiting a fight. That's when I saw them all.
      My parents stood in front of my grandparents, and aunts and uncles. The all froze when they saw me.
      "Tessa," My father said soothingly. "It's alright."
      "Get away from him!" I growled. I wanted to protect this man, for some odd reason. It felt right. My father took a small step forward, and I growled even louder.
      "Tessa, he's dead." It took me a minute to realize that he already knew that. I took in his words slowely, and fell to my knees. I was sobbing now. Everyone ran over to me at once.
      "I...I...killed him. I...couldn't help it, he just tasted so good." I managed. My mother rubbed my shoulder.
      "It's alright," She told me. She was wrong. Very, very wrong. I slowely laid the man on the cold Earth, and jumped up.
     "What!?" I yelled in her face. "It's not alright! It will never be alright! I killed him!" My mother looked shocked, and my father put a protective arm in front of her.
      "Tessa, she means we have all made mistakes. It's...well...normal." He told me. I looked back down at the man, and sobbed again.
      "I...I...just can't believe I did it." He patted my shoulder. I suddenly realized something. Something I should have realized long ago.
      "SETH!" I screamed. Everyone looked at me in shock. I looked around, and found nothing. Was Seth alright? Did I hert him? I didn't allow anyone time to say anything. I started running back towards the house. Hopefully, Seth was still there.
      "Tessa, No!" Everyone yelled behind me. I pushed myself further, and finally caught sight of the massive house. I ran threw the back door, and froze imediatly.
      Seth was sitting on the couch...with an ice pack clutched to his chest. I gasped, and Seth turned to face me. Renesmee walked out of the kitchen, and dropped the plate of food she was carrying. They both stared at me, while I stared at the ice pack clutched to Seth's chest.
